strength of a flat plate type of thermosetting plastic

Test method

Measure by applying a compressive load to a specimen with a uniform width

notch. When tested and placed between hardened compression plates, the

compression plates and vertical axial loads must be parallel.

The specimen is subjected to a load from the jig in the direction of the edge,

resulting in a specimen break in the shear mode between the center notches. The

thermosetting plastic planar shear strength test can be applied not only to R&D

data generation but also to the quality control and design structural purposes of

reinforced plastics and materials used in the fiber reinforcement industry.
